Celebrate Education Week
This year, we invite you to join us during the week of October 12– 16, 2015 to celebrate education.
Please know that you are welcome any time this week, but to maximize on our parking, you will find below the visitation schedule for your child’s grade level. Teachers will follow their normal schedule and routines of teaching lessons and engaging students. Please take this opportunity to share a reading lesson, math lesson or art class with your child. Observe how our teachers are integrating technology into the learning process.
Please sign in at our courtesy desk in the lobby. At the end of your visit, please write your thoughts about your experience or the Doyle community on our Celebrate Education Bulletin Board. Out of respect for our students, teachers, and the learning process, we ask that parents not bring younger siblings into the classrooms and to mute their cell phones.
We look forward to welcoming you to Doyle Elementary and sharing as partners in your child’s learning.

Census Verification Link -
In past years, paper census forms were distributed at the start of the school year requiring household demographic and medical changes to be noted and the form signed and sent back to school. For 2015-2016, Doyle parents are being asked to complete this task online. Please go to the Doyle webpage and utilize the online census link found in the “News From Doyle” section.
Thank you for leading the way as we go green!
From Home and School
International Walk to School Day is Thursday, October 8th!
Kids in 40 countries around the world are walking! Kids in all 50 states are walking! Kids at Doyle Elementary are walking, too! Last year we had a record number of kids participate in the: Doyle Walk to School Grade Challenge. Which grade rules the school for walking? Let’s see… Each grade is competing to bring the largest turn-out ever. Join the fun and walk, bike, scoot or skate to school on Thursday, October 8th! Each grade will have a grade specific poster to sign. Totals will be tallied that morning with the winning grade receiving a shout out during announcements for largest participation. For more information about Walk to School Day, visit: http://www.walkbiketoschool.org/ or http://www.iwalktoschool.org/.
Dining For Doyle at the Tap House
From Our 6th Grade Ambassadors
I don't remember much from my first year at Doyle but one thing I do remember is the day I came to Doyle to take a tour of the school and the box of crayons Mrs. Salvesen gave me that day. I will give kids tours of the school and I want every kid to remember that day like I did.
I have been told with privileges comes responsibility and I know I will have to be responsible as an ambassador and I think I can be.
