This year Tri Beta (WSU's biological honors society) continues its speaker series on professor research. This Wednesday November 7th, Dr. Mitroka will be speaking about her research from 3:00 to 4:00 in ST-311.
Her talk is titled "What Part of NO Don't You Understand?: The Chemistry of Nitric Oxide Derivatives and Their Pharmacological Properties". All are invited to join us for this presentation.
Toy and Art Supply Drive

Help us collect toy and art supplies for Tatnuck Elementary School here in Worcester! From October 29 to November 30 we are collecting puzzles, legos, blocks, art supplies, etc for the students to use during their morning and afternoon programs. Keep a look out for boxes in Sullivan, the Library, Sudent Center, and S-218D.

As you think about registration for next semester, please consider BI-130 Field Biology: Dominican Republic Spring Break 2019 as a course. This course meets 4 times during the semester and includes a 9-day field experience in the Dominican Republic during the March Spring Break. For all majors except Biology, it counts either an NSP-Lab requirement or as GP (Global Perspectives) requirement for LASC and also as part of a Global Studies Concentration.

Auditions for music lessons for the spring 2019 semester take place Nov. 13, 3 - 5 p.m. Students must apply online at www.worcester.edu/VPA. To submit a video audition, instead of an in person audition, or to ask questions, email Prof. Kyle Martin at kmartin@worcester.edu. Lessons available in guitar, piano, strings, voice, brass, winds, percussion and more.

The Alumni Association's Advisory Board online grant application is now open. All applications must be submitted online. The deadline for all applications is November 30.
