2020 Virtual Start
Lea este boletín en español aquí
Dear Families,
It has been a long and unusual summer break for our teachers and students. Our district will be starting classes remotely for at least the first four weeks of school, under a new instructional model. Students will be connected with classmates and teachers while following a structured distance learning schedule. Because of the current situation in our city, and due to the constant changes in recommendations from health authorities, our district and schools are faced with making decisions under a very short timeline.
Please be mindful of time constraints and exercise patience when waiting for a school or teacher to reply regarding any of your concerns.
We are in this together!

Virtual Learning
Visit their website, click on the Students tab, and scroll to see any grade level you would like. These are the schedules that teachers and students will work up to in the first four weeks of learning. In those four weeks, students will become familiar with the virtual learning platforms (Zoom, Seesaw, and Google Classroom), they will make connections with their teachers and classmates, they will learn routines and our teachers will be assessing their skills. The start times of each new row will remain the same, but they will make sure that our students work up to the total number of minutes listed, not start there!
Our students are not expected to participate in 180 to 210 minutes in front of the screen right away. Our teachers are awesome, and they will provide many breaks and opportunities to “unplug” if needed.
Student Enrollment
If you have not registered your child yet, please call the school's office or visit their website and look under the Parents tab for more information on how to complete their enrollment.
Don’t forget, if your child has not been registered, they will not receive a device to start virtual classes. If your child is still in need of a device, iPad for PK, K, 1st, and 2nd or a Chromebook for 3rd, 4th, and 5th, please call the office or email Mrs.McCowan.
