You Matter at VAES!
What a beautiful week both inside and outside of VAES! Our students have been involved in many exciting learning opportunities throughout the campus. I have had the joy of watching smiling faces while students are having fun in class, celebrating successes and hard work and listening to sweet voices reading. They are making such great progress in their academic skills!
Please look further down in the newsletter for more details on the Basketball Clinic on April 18th at the High School all to raise funds for the Reagan and Grant Scholarship Fund. Please R.S.V.P. using the form below or the one that came home in Thursday folders this week for planning purposes. Thank you for your consideration in making a donation in honor of the children even if you cannot attend the event.
Thank you for sharing your children with us. We love being a part of their lives, and we thank you for helping us in their education. Please continue to read each night, use new vocabulary, practice math facts and discuss their learning around the dinner table or in the car on the way to the ballpark. Your assistance makes all the difference in your child's success.

With an endowed scholarship once the requirements are met, the foundation will be able to give a scholarship each year without having to continuously raise the money yearly. Karen and her family will be able to present this scholarship and continue to keep the memory of her children alive for years to come. If you could help with any amount at all, it will be GREATLY appreciated.

Looking for ways to serve our students...
Your VAES PTA is looking to fill officer, committee, and volunteer positions for the 2016-2017 school year. The PTA is a vital organization for our school and our children, and it cannot be a success without volunteers like you. There are many opportunities ranging from positions that require very little time each year to more involved board positions that require time each week. If you are looking for a way to connect with your child’s school, PTA is a great avenue. For more information, please email Jenna Hughes at email@example.com.
