Tech Tips from the Vanguard Team
Digital BreakoutEDU
https://www.breakoutedu.com/digital
Many of you have heard about BreakoutEDU, some of you may have even tried using one of the physical breakout kits with your students. But, did you know that BreakoutEDU offers many fun, engaging, and FREE breakout games that you can incorporate into your classroom? One of the great aspects of using a free digital breakout, aside from not having to pay for access to the platform, is that you don’t have to do any prep work! Kids absolutely love challenging themselves to solve the tasks and open up each lock.
How to find a free digital breakout using BreakoutEDU
Step 1 – Go to https://platform.breakoutedu.com/
Step 2 – Type your topic in the search bar
Step 3 – Filter the results to Digital so that you only see the digital games
Step 4 – Look for results that say “Free” in the corner
“Expert” Tip: Many of the game links are long and complex. Try creating a shortened version using a site like Bit.ly so that your students can access the breakout game quickly and easily.
