James Morris School
Regional School District No.6
Principal's Message for October 1, 2015
Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at this week’s Harvest Luncheon. The staff and I were extremely proud of the work done by each JMS student in the days and weeks leading up to the event as well as the leadership and professionalism of our sixth-grade hosts and servers.
Grandparent’s and Special-Someone’s Day
Establishing and fostering strong relationships with the families and community members of Morris is a top priority of JMS. Similar to this week’s Harvest Luncheon, hosting Grandparent’s and Special-Someone’s Day, now in its third year, is something to which we greatly look forward. All students are encouraged to invite a personal guest to visit the school and share a classroom experience. The guest may be a grandparent, aunt or uncle, or any other individual who is special to the child. Please RSVP below:

Superintendent’s Award
Each year, the Litchfield County Superintendents Association provides the opportunity for students to be recognized for their community service, academic prowess, and leadership service. I am pleased to announce that this year’s sixth-grade representative from James Morris School is Samantha Brady. Samantha is passionate about learning and helping others. As a student, Samantha puts forth her best effort and a positive attitude toward whatever challenges she faces. Our 2014-15 Student Council co-treasurer, she is also an active member of the Warren Girl Scouts. Samantha recently organized a lemonade stand to raise money for Little Guild of St. Francis Animal Shelter. She plays basketball on the school team, has attended retreats at the Silver Lake Conference Center, and participates in an after-school hiking program.
