5th Grade REACH Expo
Our 5th graders just completed their Independent Study projects and presented to their peers on Thursday. Independent Study is a self-select program under the supervision of Mrs. Yar. Topics included polar bears, glaciers and global warming, life in space and many others!
4th-grade Independent Study will begin in February!
Chartwells Pizza Update
We had issues with Domino's delivering the quantity of pizzas we needed to the schools on time. I discovered Domino's was under new management and having staffing issues. It became clear after 3 weeks of late deliveries and missed deliveries, they could not meet our needs for the district.
After discussing with the BA we decided to change the pizza to a product supplied by Schwan's food group, that we currently use in our Middle schools. We bake the pizzas at the high schools and our driver delivers the fresh baked pizza to the schools.
The product meets the USDA guidelines and is well received by the students. The slices are a little larger than the Domino's slice.
This will be noted on the online menu. Also, we will test out a few different varieties of pizza to see which the kids like best. Next week we will offer French bread pizza, alsoa USDA approved product.

FAIR LAWN PUBLIC SCHOOLS announce
Kindergarten Registration & Enrollment/ Orientation Process for 2018-2019
Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are excited to announce that Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will begin January 8th. Kindergarten is an exciting and important year for students and their parents. We are anxious to meet your child and welcome him/her to school.

Step 1: Registration/Residency Verification through the Community School

1:45pm-3:45pm) during your neighborhood school’s assigned week (see below).

During the school orientation, the kindergarten teacher will work briefly with your child while you meet with the building principal.
If you have a neighbor who has an eligible Kindergarten-aged child, please pass this important information along to them.
Please turn in your child’s medical documents to their school by June 1st (see below).
