Message From The Principal
Good afternoon Stoller families,
I was happy to hear from staff about so many positive fall family check-ins. I’m glad you were able to connect with your student’s teachers last week.
Next week is Spirit week, see information below and Friday is costume day. I would like to ask you to remind your students that they are allowed to wear school appropriate costumes. Students may not wear full face masks of any type, full face makeup, or costumes that violate the dress code standards. Only COVID acceptable face masks may be worn. Students are not permitted to carry weapons (fake or otherwise) or props that can be mistaken or used as weapons. This includes light sabers, plastic swords, etc. Additionally, in keeping with our values to be an ABAR district, any attire that would be demeaning and or offensive to a culture should not be worn. If you have questions, please call the school.
We have amended our cell phone policy. Students are permitted to use their phones during passing time and at lunch. Please remind your students to be respectful and responsible with their phones. If students are using cellphones during class or not in a responsible manner (taking videos/pictures of other students/teachers, browsing inappropriate websites) or being disruptive with their cell phones, we will follow the protocol outlined below. See section on cell phones below.
Thank you and have a great weekend,

Attention 8th Grade Families - PreACT Information
Cell Phone Policy
Our cell phone policy is “off and away.” This means that phones are shut down completely and put away from bell to bell (9:15 - 3:50). If students need to contact home, they can come to the office and use the phone.
If a student is using their phone during school hours, we will give them a reminder to turn it off and put it away.
If a student has a second incident of phone use, we will have them check it in with the front office and they can pick it up after school.
If a student has a third incident of phone use, we will have the check in with the front office and a parent/guardian will need to pick it up.
Continued violation will be addressed on a case by case basis.
We appreciate your cooperation and support with this.

TAG Nomination Process
Every year students are considered for Talented and Gifted services in the Beaverton School District. These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s). Oregon law and District policy define gifted students as those who score at or above the 97th percentile on a standardized, nationally normed test of mental ability and/or academic achievement in reading and/or math. Behavioral, learning, and/or performance information is also considered before a student is identified for TAG services.
If you think your child might qualify for TAG services, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form that is available in our school’s office or linked here. Completing this form gives our school TAG Committee more information about your child, but it is not required. All qualified students will be considered regardless of the form’s completion.
Please complete and return the Parent Information Form to your child’s teacher.
Nomination forms are available on the TAG Website.
