SSOP's should include printed document, most recent IEP, and all most recent evals. Send home copy to students and to special education office.
You can choose from these options:
- Hold an end of year meeting to discuss SSOP and give to parents them
- Mail home SSOP
- Call or email home to let parents know you are sending home in a sealed envelope with student (if you trust that)
Update Graduating Seniors List
Don't Forget to Vote for Sandy!!!
West Warwick's very own Sandra Cappelli, grade one teacher at Horgan Elementary School, is a semi-finalist for the 2016 AFT Everyday Hero award. She was selected as one of only five finalists by the AFT for the early childhood category. The American Federation of Teachers represents 1.6 million members in over 3000 locals. The finalist is selected via online voting.
This is a wonderful and deserving honor for Mrs. Capelli
,
as well as great recognition for the West Warwick Public Schools community. Mrs. Caeppelli's Everyday Hero nomination is something that I'm hoping our entire educational community can embrace and support.
How can we support Sandy?
Voting is as quick as a click!
Vote for Sandra Cappelli by clicking on this link and finding her name under AFT Early Childhood Educators.
The voting closes on Sunday, May 29, 2016.
Note:
The site allows for individuals to vote multiple times.
Thank you very much for your support!
