Reading: Analyzing the structure of poems and identifying figurative language used by authors to improve comprehension of texts, including poetry.


Also looking at skills needed to conduct research with our research book clubs.


Writing: Review of the writing process to help prepare for SC Ready Test. Creative poetry writing.


SC History: Newspaper 21: Three branches of government: legislative, judicial, and executive.


Math: Chapter 14: Area. Quiz 14.1-14.4 on Wednesday 4/20. Be sure to look at your ice cream letter to know which factors we are doing each Tuesday (10's) and Thursday (11's).

Science: Life cycle of frogs, ladybugs and butterflies (chapter 1 Lesson 3). Please study the vocabulary and handouts in the interactive notebook daily and Quizlet (coming soon). Test on all 3 cycles Vendredi- 4/22.
