SBS Weekly Update
May 3rd, 2020
Principal's Notes
We finally have a decent week of weather ahead of us...spring is in the air! I hope that you are all well, and that God continues to watch over you and your families.
This time has been challenging for everyone and the announcement last week of school being closed has frayed some of the lines holding things together. We are all feeling the same way. These uncharted waters have proven to be difficult to navigate, but we will get to our destination of once again being back together.
Our teachers have to balance the needs of many students and varied home situations when planning out work for each day. There is a great deal of stressed home situations and we understand that students may be struggling with completing work, and that it may be difficult for parents who are still working to assist. We know that each and everyone is trying their best and ask you to remain committed. Our teachers are all available via email, please do not hesitate to reach out if your child needs assistance.
Tuesday is "Teacher Appreciation Day". I want to take a moment to thank all SBS Teachers and support staff for their dedication to our students. It is through their dedication and commitment to Catholic Education that SBS remains committed to providing an excellent faith based education. Thank you for all you do!
All my best,
Matthew Collins
Principal

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! Please consider offering a Rosary/day for these priests...or minimally an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be every day for their continued protection and good health! Never underestimate the power of one single prayer!
- If you or someone in your school community would like to support the priests in other ways or would like to donate to the fund to support the practical needs of the quarantined priests, please email: SupportCovidPriests@rcab.org or send checks to Archdiocese of Boston ℅ Jean Hayward, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree, MA 02184. Monetary donations as well as grocery store gift cards are graciously accepted. If you or your children would like to make thank you or thinking of you cards, please also send those ℅ Jean Hayward.
Social Media
We are asking for your help in sharing the good news of our continued commitment to our students' learning. From day one of this closure we have provided distance learning to ensure their success. There are many families who feel like their child's current school system has let them down and may be looking for something different for their children.
Please help us by sharing our social media posts. Follow us on our new school instagram account: saintbridgetschool_abington, and also on our school Facebook Page: @saintbridgetschoolabington. These two platforms serve as a great tool for spreading awareness of what Saint Bridget School has to offer.
Your support is greatly appreciated, and remember #SBSProud
