IMPORTANT INTERNET SAFETY NOTICE
THE "MOMO" CHALLENGE
We need you to be aware of an internet challenge that some of our students' kindergarten to 5th grade are reporting having seen. It is the MOMO Challenge. It looks like a cartoon but has a scary character that tells students to do harmful things and scares them into not telling their parents. Here is a link to an article about the momo challenge. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/janelytvynenko/momo-challenge-youtube
Please be sure you are monitoring your students' internet use and use of social media. Please speak with your student about the importance of self-safety and not sharing any information on the internet.

A Note From the PTO
Dear River Mill Families,
Are you looking for ways in which you can help the River Mill students and staff? The Parent Club or PTO is a great opportunity to do just that! We help in many ways such as fundraisers and putting on events to enrich River Mill Elementary. We know all of us are busy and however much, or little, time you have to offer, we would love to have you!
Please take a moment and look over and fill out the attached volunteer form and let us know how you would like to be involved! If you have any questions you can contact the Parent club board members at board@rivermillpc.org. The form can be sent back to your child’s teacher.
We thank you for all the support you give to River Mill!

Help us plan for the future.
As we plan for the future in our district, we would like your input to help us shape what our schools will look like for the coming years. In order to successfully address changes such as growth, adjustments in funding, and more- it becomes even more important to have a clear plan and vision for what we value in our schools, where we can improve, and how we're going to continue ensuring growth.
We believe we are most successful when we work with our community. Please take our community survey at https://envisionestacadaschools.org and help us build a strong strategic plan for continued growth in the Estacada School District! We will be reporting on the anonymous survey results in March, and explaining how your input may shape our plans.
