All About Cloning

By: Cassie Causey, LaShonda Lewis, and Ashwani Patel

Cloning is genetically identical copies that can make multiple copies of a desired gene!

Cloning is possible because....

1. An egg is taken from an adult female sheep

2. A donor cell is taken from a sheep's utter

3. The nucleolus of the egg cell is removed

4. The two cells are fused using electric shock

5. The fused cell begins to divides normally

6. The embryo is placed in the foster mother's uterus

7. A clone comes out

Cloning is important because it can be used for the making of food produce so we can make sure that there is never a shortage of produce to go around. Cloning of organs is important so that people have a chance of survival when the odds are against them.
