Timberwolf Times

Vol. 1 Issue 38, May 15, 2019

Hello Timberwolf Nation!

Good afternoon,

The 8th Grade Pep Rally is BACK ON! We will have a shortened version of it for 8th graders only before the Clap Out on Monday. 8th Grade Parents will be able to attend as well. There will be instructions below on where and how parents are supposed to enter and how they can attend the pep rally as well. Make sure that if you are planning on coming you fill out the raptor form below to get you in quicker. We hope to make it a tradition of having the 8th Grade Pep Rally and Clap Out all at the same time!

One more STAAR test and testing is over! Next week finals start. Another year has flown by. It is such a blessing to be the principal here at WCJH. This 8th grade class will be the first that I have gotten to be with all three years of their Junior High career! Thank you parents, teachers, students and community for making this such a great school. It takes everyone to make that happen.

I hope that everyone has a great rest of the week!

WCJH 8th Grade Clap Out AND 8th Grade Pep Rally

We were unable to hold the 8th Grade Pep Rally due to cancellation of school last Friday so we are going to do a shortened version right before the Clap Out! If you are coming to the Clap Out, as a parent/family member, you can attend the pep rally as well BUT you must be in the gym by 9:15. After the pep rally begins we will not allow any other parents down in the gym and you can begin to line the halls starting in the rotunda and towards the main part of the building and towds the gyms. The Clap Out will still begin at 9:45 so if you don't want to go to the pep rally, you can just come in the back of the building if you have pre-registered using the form below.

If you are a parent or community member that will be joining us, please click on the link below and complete the google form below by 4:00pm on Friday, May 17, 2019 to speed up the check-in process. This will allow our front office staff to raptor you in early, and have your name tag pre-printed. All parents who complete this form should park in the back of the school where you will be greeted with your pre-printed name tag. If you are unable to complete the google form by the deadline, please park in the front of WCJH so you can be raptored in upon arrival.

As part of the celebration, the 8th Grade End-of-Year-Committee is selling Katy and Tompkins high school shirts for 8th graders. Please note that those students who purchased a ticket to the dance will automatically receive one.

Summer Meals

Summer Meals

The United States Department of Agriculture requires that each campus notify families about the meals served each summer through the Summer Food Service Program even if the campus does not serve summer meals. The Texas Department of Agriculture provides resources to post and share with families. Soon these materials will be delivered to your front office. You will receive three posters and parent information cards. Each school is expected to display the posters immediately upon receipt. Each student should receive an information card to take home. Secondary campuses that do not have the ability to send a card to each household may want to make them accessible to parents in the front office and nurse’s office or other public areas. Share the link below on your school E News as well.

Parents know that all children 18 and under can eat breakfast and/or lunch FREE; they do not have to be enrolled in summer school or a KISD student. Free breakfast and lunch will be available at: PHS, RHS, CJH, MPE, FES, RKE.

If you have any questions, please contact the Nutrition and Food Service Department at
