Work Day

I hope that you enjoy this day of peace and quiet. It is a rare occurrence in your field of work. This day allows you to quietly plan the conversations you plan to have with parents regarding their child's development. You have so much to share, I am happy our parents get to have a bit of time with you next week. They will see how much you care, how their child is growing under your guidance and how you can work as a team to make steps forward in their child's progress. Thank you for all you do to make a difference for these little learners!!

Today is going to be beautiful...

A walk with a colleague might be just what you need mid day to help boost your creative brain into successful work time this afternoon....consider it.

November 8th

Paraprofessionals, Interventionists, Health Services and ELL staff will come together on November 8th for learning opportunities. We are hosting this event and look forward to a great day with this group of staff. In the morning, Andy Campbell will be speaking to all of these staff members about trauma and it's impact on students. Teachers/Therapists, feel free to pop in and see what they are learning about. I've heard this will be a dynamic presentation!! The afternoon is breakout sessions, so a few of your classrooms may be utilized, but I will do my best to utilize all other spaces first.

Lice

I know this word has you scratching your head. Please make sure that you are professional in handling a lice situation. That little one and their family does have the right to privacy and if it was your little one, you wouldn't want everyone at your child's school to know that they have lice. So, yes be thoughtful about contact, but also be thoughtful about that child's right not to be seen for the rest of the year as a the child that has had lice.

Bus Drivers and Aides

We had good help from Jennifer Boaz on the bus driver treats that Chris Sabin came up with. I will try to send some to satellites if you will send me the number you need. They are cute little treats with a little sign on the front.
