Letter from the Clinic
"Hello Imagine families.
Did you know that our clinic is run 100% on parent volunteers?? It is!! This year more than ever we need your help staffing the clinic.
Thank you everyone who has already signed up for shifts in the clinic, because of awesome volunteers like you, we have shifts covered until mid October! Woohoo!!
The clinic would like to give you an opportunity to complete some of your mandatory volunteer hours.
If you were interested in working in the clinic, please contact our clinic coordinator Jessica at 954-471-2974, and she can book you into the Calendar. Shifts are Monday - Friday from 8 to 12 or 12 to 4 or all day. All hours worked in the clinic count as DOUBLE HOURS!!!"
Social Media
I want to take this opportunity to inform parents of virtual challenges that are circulating on social media. The challenge at hand is for students to destroy school property or steal from teachers, record the activity and post their videos on TikTok. Please have discussions with your children to dissuade them from taking part in any such activity as any student who participates in these actions will be subject to strict disciplinary consquences and potention criminal charges. Below is a great article on Social Media and middle schoolers. We hope you take the time to read it.
We are going to have a fantastic year here at Imagine School at Broward. Home of the Phoenix, where together we soar!!!
Loving our Imagine Broward Family!

ADVANCED READING CHALLENGE
Hello Imagine Parents and Guardians!
Last week we began rolling out our 13th annual Advanced Reading Challenge for students in grades 3 through 8. If interested, your child should have received a packet during their Media special. The purpose of the ARC is to challenge students to read 25 books over the course of one school year and complete 25 personal creative reflections (projects) based on the books genre. Students who read and report on the designated number of books, will receive a $50 Barnes and Noble Gift Card and be recognized nationally by Imagine Schools. The book list, project list, and ARC contract are attached below. Students are able to borrow books from our school library, however we do not have all titles. Public libraries would be a good place to source books as well. The contract, found on/around page 10 of the student packet, is to be filled out and returned by September 30th to Stefanie Shaw in the media center or at stefanie.shaw@imagineschools.org
We hope that by taking on this challenge, students will stretch themselves as readers and learners, enjoy some great new books, and model achievement and excellence for their friends and peers.
Regards,
Stefanie Shaw
