October 19-23 NO SCHOOL - FALL BREAK

Important Information
*Please have your car rider at school at 7:20 so they can get breakfast and not miss instructional time.
*Please pick up your car rider at 2:15. Have your number ready! The line moves pretty quickly.
*If you need to change the way your scholar is getting home, you MUST contact the office by noon. 317-226-4103 (Ask the teacher if you do not know your child's car rider number.)*If your scholar is a BUS RIDER, they need to be at their bus stop 10 minutes before the assigned time. The bus may arrive ten minutes before and up to ten minutes after.

RETURN TO THE BUILDING
Information families/scholars NEED TO KNOW!
*School starts at 7:20am. (see below for arrival information)
*DO NOT drop your scholar off before 7:20am. We do not have the personnel to monitor for behavior and social distancing before 7:20am.
*SCHOLARS SHOULD BRING THEIR DEVICES TO SCHOOL DAILY. Devices MUST be charged overnight at home.
*Use the front circle drive ONLY (for car riders) DO NOT drop scholars off anywhere else.
*Parents, do not leave your car unless requested by staff.
*All scholars will enter the FRONT door ONLY.
*NO visitors can enter the building. Staff and scholars ONLY.
*Temperatures will be taken at car drop off (scholars with temperatures (and their siblings) won't be allowed to stay)
*Masks are REQUIRED throughout the school day (with the exception of lunch)
*Scholars can bring water bottles to school. They can refill at school at the refill station. They cannot drink from the water fountain.
*PARENTS...PLEASE let your scholar/teacher know how they are getting home on the first day. EVERY scholar and teacher should know exactly how the scholar is to get home each day.
*Dismissal is at 2:15pm. Please be on time! (see below for more info)
*Contact Nurse Sara about medication concerns (see below for more info)
*PLEASE be patient as we adjust to this new routine.

*Please be patient as we all adjust to a new routine.

Bus riders- will be dismissed by bus. Masks are required on the bus.
Car riders- Be in line to pick up your scholar at 2:15pm.
*if you had a car rider number last year, you will likely have the same number this year
*if you did not have a car rider number last year, you will be assigned a new one this year
*you will show/tell your number to the staff members on duty, they will call for the scholar(s), scholars will leave their classroom and come out to your vehicle
*Please be patient as we all adjust to a new routine

If your scholars present with COVID symptoms, they will be sent home from school for 10 days unless they can provide a doctor's note or negative COVID test. Please see the screening tools below or at the following links in ENGLISH and SPANISH. (Click on the images below to make them bigger)

All new and returning scholars need health consent forms completed to be seen in the clinic for health conditions. If your child has any medical conditions or needs to receive any type of medication /medical care while at school please contact the school to set up an appointment with Nurse Sara or Mr. Orlando to fill out paperwork. If your child has asthma and needs nebulizer treatments they will NOT be administered during this school year due to COVID, please contact Nurse Sara to discuss options 317-226-4103. Providers can fax health/action plans and or doctors notes to 317-226-3730, ATT: Nurse Sara. (Nebulizer letter HERE)

Alisson Diaz-Nova for having the highest Scholar Dollar Amount on Kickboard.
Ms. Creek wants to give a shout out to Tavaun Jackson for staying on task yesterday.
Ms. Marsden wants to give London Holder in Ms. Thomas's room a shout out for scoring 100% on Progress Monitoring Lessons 5-6.
Ms. Cohen has a huge shout out to Jony Bonilla for being the only one to complete all his work on Thursday via Blackboard.
Omar Alvarez in Ms. Thomas's room gets a shout out from Ms. Marsden for scoring 94% on Progress Monitoring Lessons 5-6.
Ms. Zvonar has a shout out for her GRAY GROUP students for always trying their best this week!
Ms. Barrix has shout outs for Jamichael Fann, Jayla Gulley, Patrick Williams, Danius Stevens-Harney, Mei'Yun Moore, and Amari Watson for ALL having perfect attendance this week and doing a great job transitioning back into the building.
Ms. Luna has a shout out for her GRAY GROUP for improving muchisimo in their behavior this week.
Ms. Luna has a shout out to her parents/scholars for having 100% participation on PIT Day.
Ms. Stevenson has a shout out for Amir Morris for working hard despite technology issues.
Ms. Stevenson wants to give a shout out to Edgar Urias Herrera for coming to class on time everyday and putting a smile on my face.
PLA@103 2020-2021 Goals
Academic Goals:
By the end of the 2020-21 school year, IREAD 3 pass rate will increase from 60% to 75% for all non special education and ELL scholars who have been enrolled for a minimum of 162 days.
By the end of the 2020-21 school year, scholars will average one year of growth in reading from BOY to EOY on NWEA.
By the end of the 2020-21 school year, ILEARN scores will increase in math 3-5%.
Behavior Goal:
By the end of the 2020-2021 school year, staff will use Kickboard and Classroom Incentives from 8% to 38% of the time as identified by survey data and can be seen through lower referral data.
Staff Development Goal:
By the end of the 2020-21 school year, classroom teachers' average score on Domain 2 (Virtual): Student Engagement and Effective Lesson Components of the Coaching Cycle will grow 8-10% from BOY to EOY.
