Welcome Fall!!
What a whirl wind start to another school year! Fall is already upon us and I am excited to have had the opportunity to teach several of your classes, meet with grade levels to plan and support technology integration with your students in classrooms. Thank you to those of you who have attended the technology PD's on Tuesdays. Starting in November I will offer Mega Bite Monday's. 20 -60 minute quick technology workshops introducing emerging technologies for your instruction. The iGeneration book study has begun if you are interested in joining there is still time let me know!

MegaBite Mondays
Starting in November MegaBite Mondays will begin! These informal 15-20 minute sessions will introduce emerging technologies for your instruction. The sessions will be divided to accommodate busy schedules. The first half will be direct instruction, the second half will be available for hands on deeper instruction. Everyone welcome to attend. If you have a great tool you are using present to the group! Our first session will be on Nearpod and Classflow.
Integration Innovators
If you are interesting in joining a team of teachers to lead and support technology integration in our building, learn more about how to weave personalized learning and multiple pathways into your classroom join us Monday, October 19th in the courtyard to sound off and share ideas about how to better utilize technology in our building with the resources we have. Over the course of the year we will address hot topics, trends and develop strategies to better support our peers and students.

Book WIzard
Have you ever wondered what reading level as book is rated for at the library or your local bookstore. Wonder no more! Scholastic has a website called Book Wizard and it has now released an Apple App which allows you to scan the ISBN of a book and get a synopsis of the book as well as the Lexile and DRA level of the book.
ZipGrade
ZipGrade has a limited free version but as a teacher you can get a year subscription for $7. This app allows you to create a class list and print custom multiple choice answer forms. After the assessment is given, the teacher or student can scan their answer sheet with an iPad or iPhone and get instance feedback on how well the student scored.
