**IMPORTANT**
Please read this information carefully as it contains specific information regarding the closing of the school year, returning items, retrieving items from PE lockers, and picking-up any documents. The protocols given must be adhered to in order to maintain the safety of both staff and students, and to be in compliance with state health orders. While the County of Riverside has rescinded the order to wear masks and maintain social distancing, schools must still adhere to these two orders.
SCHEDULE
Beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2020 and running through Friday June 5, 2020, we will be following a set schedule by STUDENTS’ LAST NAME. To avoid the gathering of too many in an enclosed space, we will follow this schedule:
PROCESS
Only the student may come on to campus during the scheduled time and they must be wearing a mask. All doors will be propped open; the only items students will physically contact on campus are their locks in the PE locker room and any documents they will be picking-up in the MPR.
Please see the below and attached map. Students will bring all textbooks and Chromebook (if applicable) and enter through the side gate between the office and the 800 wing. Students will enter the media center through the front door. A staff member will scan textbooks (have barcode facing up on all books), and another staff member will scan in Chromebooks. A third staff member will direct you to placement of materials once they are scanned.
Exit the media center out the door closest to the lunch area. Go to PE locker room using the doors on the quad side. Enter locker room, remove items from locker and re-secure lock on locker. Exit locker room through blacktop area doors and turn left go to MPR to pick-up documents/awards/Certificate of Promotion (8th grade only) and to drop off school instruments (if applicable). Exit out MPR doors to parking lot. (MAP ATTACHED BELOW)
PROTOCOLS
Students will not be permitted on campus without a mask. If a line develops at any one station, staff will direct students to maintain a six-foot spacing. Students are not permitted to access any other part of the campus, and there is no visiting while on campus. Please do not come earlier than the assigned time slot. In order for the process to work, we need your cooperation with the schedule, the process, and all protocols.
8th Grade Families:
To honor your promoting student BVMS will be emailing a link to a promotion video on Thursday, June 4, 2020. The video will have a message from the principal and each student's picture and name in addition to award acknowledgement. Please mark your calendars.
YEARBOOKS:
Unfortunately this year the yearbooks will not be available to be picked up at the time of Student Check-Out. We will communicate with you as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time.
Regards,
Sincerely,
Amy Whann
Principal
