Principal Allen's Weekly Newsletter
October 21 , 2019
Dear Spicewood Elementary Parents & Community Members,
Red Ribbon Week is here! It is very important that we take time to talk to our students about the importance of making healthy choices for their minds bodies and hearts! Please be sure to read below for a description for each Red Ribbon Spirit Day. I already have my superhero shirt and pajamas picked out for this week- I hope to see all students participating! Parents, you are welcome to participate as well!
Principal Pride Ceremonies are today and Wednesday. We are very excited to celebrate our students for exemplifying attributes from the IB Learner Profile.
Last but not least, I would like to announce that we have finally hired a half time music teacher. Mr. Stephen Weed, a former music teacher in Killeen ISD, will be taking the split music position between Spicewood and Laurel Mountain. He will be joining the Spicewood community this week.
Thank you for all you do. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Allen
Spicewood Elementary Principal
