information
The sun lies at the heart of the solar system, where it is by far the largest object. It holds 99.8 percent of the solar system's mass and is roughly 109 times the diameter of the Earth — about one million Earths could fit inside the sun.
Distance from Earth or Sun/Time to travel to the object
the distance to the sun is about 4.24 light years. plus the sun is about 150,000,000km from the earth.
Length of Day/Year, Temperature, Atmosphere
the temperature can reach up to about 27 million degrees.it takes the Earth exactly 23 hours 56 minutes and 4.1 seconds to rotate once on its axis and that is how long the days are on the sun. Plus it takes 225 to 250 million terrestrial years for a year on the sun. The atmosphere of the sun is composed of several layers, mainly the photosphere, the chromosphere and the corona.
Moons, Some interesting facts/Graphics
there are about 166 moons that orbit the sun. here ar some interesting facts about the sun like
- Around 74% of the Sun's mass is made up of hydrogen. plus
- It makes up around 99.86% of the Solar System's mass.
