For Your Information & Action:
First Floor Guidance Office: The first floor guidance suite will be tiled over break. Guidance staff should pack up their offices so the contractors can get in and out.
Do we have to make up school from our very early dismissal on Monday? Many people have asked if we have to make up Monday... We are required to have 180 days of school and 990 hours of time on learning (this does not include passing time or lunch--it does include class and advisory). Monday counts as a day of school towards the 180. However, given all of the delays and the early dismissals, we are going to be short on our state mandated time on learning. Kristen will work with Superintendent Osborne to determine how we make that up moving forward.
New Staff: Please welcome the newest members of our staff at HRHS!
- Jake Rosenkalt is a para-educator and support students in English 10, Algebra, and US History.
- Edward Leon will join the staff as a night custodian and will be starting over vacation.
Learning Walks: In the near future, members of the Hampshire Regional administrative team (i.e., superintendent, principals, and directors) will be conducting "learning walks” at HRHS and all other schools in the district. The purpose of learning walks is for the administrative team to develop a shared understanding of high-quality practice and to calibrate evidence with one another. Please know, learning walks are non-evaluative; it is for our own professional development only. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Thank you!

- Middle school will go to all regular classes on both days.
- 9th grade will go to all regular classes on both days but in different classrooms than usual.
- 10th grade will be testing 7:45-11:10am and then will attend classes.
- 11th grade will attend college and career workshops 7:45-11:10 and then will attend classes.
- 12th graders do not have to come to school until 11:10 both days. If seniors do come in, we will provide supervision.
Teacher Schedules:
On the teacher schedules for March 26 and March 27, you will notice the following:
- MCAS proctors (red)
- Guidance College and Career workshop teachers (yellow)
- Coverage (so everyone gets their prep)
- MCAS hall duty (orange)
- Lunch duty (pink)
- Senior coverage for seniors who attend school on those mornings (green)
- Room changes
Please check these schedules ASAP and notify Lauren if you see any conflicts by Friday, March 1.
Bell Schedules:
March 26-27 are 10th Grade ELA MCAS days, so both days are "X-days." The times are the same as Z-days but the periods will rotate differently than a typical Z-day. Here are the bell schedules for both days.
The MCAS days have the bell schedule of a Z day, however, March 26 will be based off a day 2 schedule. Period 1 will be from day 1, but all the other periods are based off a day 2. So if you have lunch duty typically on a day 2, you would have lunch duty on March 26 because it's a day 2 schedule.
So the day is:
Period 1 (day 1)
Period 2 (day 2)
Period 3 (day 2)
Period 4 (day 2)
Period 5 (day 2)
Period 6 (day 2)
Period 7 (day 2)
March 27 is based off a day 6 schedule. Period 5 is based off a day 5 schedule. So the day is like this:
Period 5 (day 5)
Period 6 (day 6)
Period 7 (day 6)
Period 1 (day 6)
Period 2 (day 6)
Period 3 (day 6)
Period 4 (day 6)
