Principals' Message
We’ve had a great start to our new school year! The year has started very smoothly and we want to thank all of our stakeholders for your help in making sure our students get the best education possible! It is amazing to us that this is already our 3rd year together as a PK-6 school. If you ever have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call the elementary office or email us at any time (rqual@moraschools.org or bspartz@moraschools.org ).

Office Tidbits
Hello Elementary Parents/Guardians-
We're Briana Hallin and Lane Schafer, Mora Elementary's Administrative Assistants. We wanted to introduce ourselves and notify you of a change this year. New this year, parents will be able to fill out blue change tickets along with yellow bus tickets for any after school changes. The intention of this change is to help clearly communicate any daily changes with your student. Attached you will find the updated tickets. These type of tickets must be turned into the elementary office to be signed/verified by office staff. Students will always follow their primary plan that was set up with their classroom teacher.
**Please note these tickets are only needed if there is a change to the student's
daily primary plan.
Thank you!
Briana Hallin and Lane Schafer
Health Office Updates
Welcome Back to School! I’m Mrs. Grahn, the district nurse, and Miss Katy is our LPN who is at ME full-time. We are excited to be working with all of the students this year!! While we highly encourage students to come to school every day...we ask that you please keep your child home if they are ill. This includes a fever over 100, vomiting, or having diarrhea. This helps prevent the spread of infection and helps your student get better, so they can return to school. If your child is sick with any of the above, we need the student out for 24 hours afterward. We are striving for a healthy school year!!
Also as a reminder, please talk with your student(s) about sharing objects with other students to help reduce the spread of head lice. We request that students not share brushes, hats, or any other hair products (scrunchies etc…). Please refer to our district webpage, health services tab for our current lice procedure for additional information.
Next week, Tuesday 9/17, we will be doing hearing and vision screenings for grades 1, 2, 3, & 5. We will be having a make-up day on Thursday 9/19 afternoon as well. Please make sure your student(s) wear/bring their glasses with them on that day.
