Lake Worth ISD Expectations

The CAMT program consists of approximately 750 sessions, ranging from 90 minutes to three hours. The workshops and sessions consist of mathematics content and pedagogy appropriate for K-12 mathematics teachers. You will hear excellent information and will be accountable for the knowledge and strategies gained at the conference.

1. There will be an opportunity to discuss the sessions attended with your colleagues

2. You will be asked to implement strategies and skills gained at the conference.

3. Documentation of your implementation use will be needed by the end of the fall semester.

District Checklist

*Clear your calendar for July 10-13, 2013 (plus any needed travel days)

*Watch your school email for a notice when the checks are ready for the hotel. One person from each room will need to pick up the check from Karin Gandee prior to departure. (Remember administration summer hours are 7:30 - 4:30 Monday - Thursday.)

*Watch for materials to be mailed to your home address in late June or early July. (Your name badge is your ticket of admittance to the conference - you must bring it with you.)

*Look through the program book to begin planning the sessions you wish to attend. Your sessions should pertain to your 2013-2014 teaching assignment. You will need to mark the sessions you attend and turn in the proof of attendance sheet upon return to Lake Worth. Please turn these in with your travel reimbursement documents.

*Complete the Conference Evaluation Survey that will be sent to you after CAMT. This will give you the opportunity to design your plan to implement skills/strategies/activities gained from the time in San Antonio!

*Documentation of your implementation (copy of your lesson plan) with a self reflection will need to be submitted by December 20th to Karen Reed or Sherry Dickens.
