Internet Safety Night
On December 17, the Shepaug School Counseling Department welcomed Scott Driscoll, former law enforcement officer and the founder of Internet Safety Concepts. Scott presented information on internet safety to parents. Scott will be back to talk to students at Shepaug Valley School in March. We are finalizing the date! Please see the link below to learn more about Scott and his work.
PSAT and Khan Academy
During December, the School Counseling Department assisted students in grades 10 and 11 with linking their PSAT scores to Khan Academy for free personalized help in preparation for the SAT. Khan Academy allows students to focus on areas of struggle from the PSAT. Please contact the School Counseling Department with any further questions.

Students in grades 7-8 have been working with the School Counseling Department using the program Career Cruising. This computer program focuses on career development for all ages. Additionally, students in grades 6-8 have participated in classroom lessons geared towards career development, conflict, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication.
