The Ice Storm of 2023 was beautiful but what a mess!! Hopefully you are staying warm and have found some unexpected blessings to get you through the days. We can't wait to get back to normal on Monday.

These 5th Graders represented SHS well! Thank you Mrs. Schutte for Hosting Quiz Bowl.
On Saturday, a team of our fifth grade students participated in the Hillsdale Middle School Quiz Bowl at Davis Middle School in Hillsdale. The team consisted of Kaydence Henning, Easton Shaffer, Evan Tedora and Kena Verville. These students spent the past few weeks practicing hard to brush up on their trivia and general knowledge. Questions included the topics of math, spelling, history, geography, grammar, foreign language, science, and pop culture. We competed against teams from Hillsdale Public Schools, Hillsdale Academy, Hillsdale Classical, Will Carleton, and Quest Homeschool Co-op. Our team did a wonderful job of representing Sacred Heart School with a showing in the middle of the pack of the 14 teams that participated. We also showed great sportsmanship, had a fun time, and learned a lot!
Please RSVP below by March. 3rd if you plan to chaperone so we can reserve your ticket to attend the performance on March 21st.
March is Reading Month will begin this Monday, Feb. 27th. Be sure to look for reading logs in your child's backpack! See the calendar below for a look at all of the fun we will have reaching our school wide reading goal!

March 16th- Parent/Conferences (3:00-6:00)
March 17th- 1/2 Day of School. Parent/Conferences (12:30-3:00)
March 21st- All school field trip to the Croswell
March 24- 1/2 Day of School. No Beyond the Bell. End of Quarter 3
March 27- 31- Spring Break
A change to the calendar- NO SCHOOL Monday, April 24th. The teachers are scheduled to attend a professional development day.
