Hopefully this message finds you safe, well, and in good spirits. How are YOU? This is a question I hope that you will consider for yourself and your children. For some, the summer break has been a fun one filled with exploration and various experiences. For others, there may have been some challenges or traumatic occurrences to overcome, and the process continues. So much can change while we are apart; however, our genuine care and concern remain the same.

Speaking of change, we have said farewell to some of our faculty members as they venture off for exciting, new opportunities. Growth (in all areas) is not just a goal for the scholars we serve. We are charged with growing and stretching ourselves as educators, and sometimes, that means that our journey will take us elsewhere. Please know that the members of The Lake Ridge Nation who departed send their best, and they will continue to cheer for your children and all of us. As we say farewell to some, we are also blessed to welcome others. The first edition that goes out in August will feature faculty information.

For now, I wanted to make sure that you have some key information. School supply lists are now available on our district's website, and I am including a link for your convenience. When looking at the file, be mindful that there are lists for respective grade levels/programs. Make sure that you identify the correct list for your child, and you are welcome to contact me to inquire if you are unsure. I am listing them below in the order they appear via the file:

• ECSE (3 year olds)
• ECSE (4) and Pre-Kindergarten
• Kindergarten
• 1st Grade
• 2nd Grade
• 3-5 Grades
• SKILL (K-5)
• Lower Elementary Montessori (1-3)/Upper Elementary Montessori (4-5)
• Primary Montessori (PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten)

Remember to be on the lookout for another edition that will feature expectations, procedures, and other information to help you on this 2021-2022 race for excellence.

Be sure to keep the following dates(s) in mind:

• Ongoing: 2021-2022 Registration (new to district)
• July 27: Registration Opens for Returning Scholars
• August 7: Back to School Rally at Valley Ridge Park 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
• August 9: Meet the Teacher at LRE 5:30-6:30 p.m.
• August 12: First Day of 2021-2022
