The daily life of Ancient Egypt depended on what level they are on the hierarchy level. Food there was easy to harvest because the Nile river flooded every year, enriching the soil and the people traded food that they have an abundance of for food that they don’t have. Probably the 2 main things that helped the Egyptians to their success was water and food and to gather wheat, they raised a sickle (a sharp tool), grab a handful of wheat, and cut the wheat below the ear. For water, the Egyptians used a lever to lower and raise water from rivers using stones and putting them on the other side of the lever.

What was important to them was their religion because they believed that the gods/goddesses have the ability to change the Egyptians luck. They believed that their success was thanks to the gods and that the gods would protect people for life events. Some people even had amulets to ward evil spirits away from them. The way people communicate was by using hieroglyphs and the 2 types of hieroglyphs were demotic(used for writing documents) and hieratic(used for everyday information). Later, the people forgot about the language until the Egyptians were conquered by the French. The french found a slab of stone called the Rosetta Stone that was wrote in 3 different languages(including hieroglyphs) and became a dictionary for hieroglyphs but still couldn’t decipher how it sounds.

In ancient Egypt, writing is very important. They used hieroglyphs, which is a type of picture writing and uses about 700 different symbols. Hieroglyphs were used on monuments, tombs and temples. These things could be written in different ways. Like left to right and vise versa and top to bottom. The legacy of this civilization were the pyramids. The ancient Egyptians were very skilled at engineering. they built them out of lime stone blocks. Those pyramids were used to store dead pharaohs. Some pyramids are still standing today.

The ancient Egyptians impacted our way of life today by burying people. This impacted us because we found those people and we would not have known if they even existed if we had not found those remains. One myth that explains the life style of the ancient Egyptians is the creation myth. This myth explains that the first leader of the ancient Egyptians was pharao and they continued that on.
