Good Evening Evergreen Families!
This is Paula Canady, principal at Evergreen Elementary. We were so disappointed to have to reschedule our STEAM Night due to the inclement weather. We have rescheduled STEAM night to Thursday, March 7th. The event will begin at 5:30 pm and end at 7 pm. Our STEAM night will have many different activities for you and your student to participate in. All the activities are fun ways to experience science, technology, engineering, art, and math. All activities are free! There will be an opportunity to make a button for $1.
This coming week there is no school on Monday and Tuesday for mid-winter break. We will return to school on Wednesday, February 21st. Please mark your calendars so you are prepared for your student to be home.
Our school goal this year is to improve all students’ reading level. We are providing daily lessons in reading, writing, and word work to provide your student with the tools to improve as a reader. As with any skill, practice is key! It is so important for students to read daily and share what they are reading about. You can support your student by helping them remember to read and sharing in their reading experience through listening, shared reading, or asking them to share what they have read about.
Thank you for being a partner with us in your students' learning! Have a wonderful “Wildcat” extended weekend!
