Urban Scholars
Thank you Team Howard for your support in the after school program. On December 17, from 4:30 - 6:00, we will be showcasing our 3rd play in 2 years entitled "The Rose that grew from Concrete", a spin off of Tupac Shakur's poem. It's a 30 minute live play full of musical performances, poetry, and skits highlighting the struggles that our students face on a daily basis (with an emphasis on the death of a guardian by violence - tribute to Malia Rideout), and how they persevere and become successful despite their upbringing.
We would love for ALL STAFF to be present. Please remind students that their behavior in your classes determine their participation in the play.
Thanks in advance.
