Hidden In Plain Sight
The Price County Sheriff's Department and Park Fall Police Department did a presentation called "Hidden in Plain Sight" for parents and guardians in the high school library. Several parents attended the presentation as officers explained the different methods that students use to hide drugs, alcohol, etc. in their homes, cars, and school. They brought in and shared
specific items that students could buy through the internet to conceal illegal products. Officer Joe Janek brought with him his K9 partner, Dixon, and demonstrated to the audience how Dixon can detect drugs. He explained the process and how dogs are used to assist in searches at school campuses. It was a very interesting presentation and was gladly appreciated by those that attended. We hope to do this again in the fall and possibly one more time in the spring of 2023.
