Don't Forget your Mask

We have been providing masks to some students daily, and our supply is running low. Be sure that your child is coming with a mask from home every day while we are under the mask mandate from the Berrien County Health Department

After School Study Hall - Starts Sept. 28th

Starting September 28th, the JH will be offering After School Study Hall. After School Study Hall is designed to provide a quiet place for students to:

  • Work on homework
  • Get organized
  • Receive Extra Help
  • Have reliable wifi to complete assignments

Study Hall is open from 3:10 - 4:10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. Students must have their own transportation at 4:10

No Referral Party is Coming Soon!!

Our Annual Halloween Dance will be our first No Referral Party of the year. Students can earn the opportunity to attend by not receiving a written discipline referral during the month of October. Following building expectations is the easiest way to earn the opportunity!

This Week in Second Step Lessons

Every week when we conduct a new lesson, we will let families know what is covered so that you can continue to support the initiative from home.

Topics this Week

6th Graders will learn about making goals specific so that they can set achievable goals.

7th Graders will talk about identifying road blocks and distinguishing between internal and external obstacles that get in the way when working toward goals.

8th Graders will discuss using their unique strengths to get better at something.

Continuing the Conversation at Home

6th Grade families - You can continue the conversation by discussing goals that your child is interested in working towards this school year.
