Principal's Weekly Newsletter
I enjoy visiting every classroom every day. Spending a few minutes with students at lunch is another opportunity for me to get to know them.
December 1, 2022
The Christmas Season is upon us! This time will be busy with school programs and activities. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will be performing their Christmas Program on Sunday, December 4, at 2 PM. The 5th through 8th grade band students will be holding their performance on Tuesday, December 13, at 6 PM. The 3rd and 4th graders will be performing in their Christmas musical at 7 PM on Thursday, December 15. All of these performances will be held in Dutcher Gym. I hope you will be able to attend these events as they are sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.
This month our students will be leading and celebrating Mass weekly. Masses are at 8:30 AM on these dates:
- Thursday, December 8 (The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary)
- Wednesday, December 14
- Wednesday, December 21.
If your schedule permits, please take time to join our students in celebrating Mass during Advent.
Another opportunity to gather with the St. Patrick family is at breakfast on Sunday, December 11, in the Parish Commons. Our 7th and 8th graders will be hosting and serving this meal for a free-will donation to fund their service learning projects. Read the details below and plan to support their causes!
Blessings,
Mr. Wiebers
FAITH
Starting our week by lighting another candle on the Advent wreath is a tradition at our school. We look forward to the birth of Jesus this month.
EXCELLENCE
We give our students so many ways to show what they have learned. This activity was a big hit in Mrs. Kjeldsen's language arts class.
SERVICE
Our CPTO event, St. Nick's Secret Shop, allows K- 8 students to experience the joy of giving! Send this shopping list and payment for the gifts to school on your child's shopping day. Preschoolers will not shop with their classes, but parents may bring them to the CCC (see email from Mrs. Carri with specific days/times.)
Thank you to those who have signed up to help. More adult volunteers are needed. Please contact Meagan Slee at mslee@cfcatholicschool.org if you might be able to help.
Put Our Celebration on Your Calendar
Put February 18 on your calendar if you haven't already! This year's celebration promises to be super fun! Help us by sharing the event on Facebook, making some comments, and bringing your friends for a fun night out! It's all "for the kids" as they say! The ticket link on RevTrak will be opening in the next few days.
Thank you to all who have already given to our Annual Appeal. We are off to a fantastic start, reaching 35% of our Appeal + Event goal in month. Your gifts and prayers are making a difference! Let's keep the ball rolling!
Shop With Scrip or Use It as a Gift
Order no later than December 12 to have before break. Consider picking out cards to give your employees too!
