Upcoming:
As an FYI, we have not hosted a Kindergarten Roundup the last couple years. Student placement in K-Prep/Kindergarten are made through GOLD data and teacher recommendations. We feel that we have better information now that most students attend preschool. Preschool Parent Night (5:30-6:00) and Kindergarten Parent Night (6:00-6:30) will be held on April 21st to inform parents about our programs. We are communicating with parents to finalize our K-Prep list.
As of today: May 22nd is the last student day and May 29th is the last teacher day. Summer conferences are not viewed as flex PD yet.
We are a registered school for Iowa’s Healthiest State 5210. We did get approved for the $500 5210 grant. We will use the money to get non-food rewards for teachers to hand out.
April 3- We are planning for grades PS-4 to attend Character Lab, performed by The Old Creamery Theatre, at the CRC with students from Riceville and St. Ansgar.
Future educators:
F20 August 24-October 16
Joclyn Rawn will host Brady Girkin for student teaching in kindergarten.

March 19th: STEAM Festival
April 2nd: 6th Grade Activity Night

Yearbook order information:
There are two ways you can purchase the yearbook this year. You may do it online with the link. (There is one for high school and one for middle school.) Or you may fill out the paper order form. These paper forms will be available in the middle school and high school offices. (One note about the paper order forms: to me, it appears as if you must personalize the yearbook. You do not need to personalize anything unless you choose to do so.)
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gast
High School Happenings
Wednesday, March 18th:
- Osage along with area community Physic students will participate in the CRC Boat Races at the CRC.
- 7:30 am to 3:30 pm - NHS will be hosting our annual Blood Drive at Osage High School.
- 6:00 pm - Parents of Junior students are invited to an ICAN presentation in the HS Cafeteria. ICAN has served the educational community and the students of Iowa since 1998 assisting in filing for financial aid and mastering your financial situation can be confusing and intimidating. For that reason, ICAN's team of Student Success Advisors work directly with Iowa students and their families as an individual, community, or school. All ICAN programs and services are offered without charge.
Thursday, March 19th:
- A Night of Speech Celebration at the OHS
Friday, March 20th:
- 7:00 pm - 9-12th grade Variety Show at the CRC.
