Women's fight for equality helped women to have right to vote and be treated equal to men. The 19th amendment was created from this fight. Muckrakers were a group of journalists and writers who made Americans aware of the problems in society. They helped expose the change needed within American society and people.

State reforms is a big example of political in SPRITE. State reforms include recalls, referendum, and initiatives. Recalls can let voters remove officials before term is up and referendum is the public vote on initiatives. The 18th amendment was a political aspect because it prohibited alcohol.

R-religious & I- intellectual

Social gospel movement had an impact on America, which lead to changes. This was a movement was a Protestant Christian intellectual movement that was in the early 20th century in the US and Canada. Salvation Army was a religious group formed for Christians to volunteer and help the community.

The growth of public education was an intellectual reform because it help expanded education for children all over. Meat inspection act was created to enforce the health and sanitary standards of the meat packing industry, which was the direct result of Upton Sinclair's novel The Jungle.

T-technology & E-economic

The Bessemer process was a process to mass produce steel. This made it easier and faster to build buildings and build up America. Electric vacuum cleaners were made to clean floors without using broom and made it faster for housewives to clean.

Sherman Antitrust Act prohibited trusts because of Roosevelt's "trust-busting" campaign.

Food and Drug Administration is responsible for protecting public health by assuring the security of human and veterinary drugs, medical devices, and the nations food supply, ect.
