By popular demand, New Britton Elementary and Cloud City Youth proudly presents an 8 week session: Chess for Kids! This activity was a huge success last year and we look forward to another great session starting in February.

Next week NBE will offer After School Enrichment classes to our 3rd and 4th grade students 1/22-1/24. Be on the lookout for a Skylert email this afternoon with more information and details for online registration.

ASE classes for our K-2 students will be held 1/29-1/31. Details and registration info will be sent home soon.
Car Rider Information
The easiest and most efficient way for your children to get to and from school is the district provided transportation. Our busing system is set in place to transport NBE students safely and efficiently.
If your student needs to be a car rider more than occasionally and you have not yet received a car tag, please email Michelle at email@example.com with your name, your student's name and your 4 digit FastLane number to get your car tag.
Please be sure hang the car tag from your
rear view mirror each day
to help expedite the pick up process.

Safe Visitor News!
Do you keep misplacing your SafeVisitor badge? Or does your barcode keep getting buried in new pictures on your phone?
We have exciting news for you: There is now a SAFEVISITOR app!
Go to the App Store. Type in SafeVisitor (no spaces) and follow the instructions to download the app. Use the 5 digit code that prints out on a SafeVisitor Badge by the barcode. This will save on phone and all you have to do when checking into an HSE school is pull up the app
*If you don't have a copy of your SAFEVISITOR badge code, just wait until you visit an HSE school again and get the code from that badge to input into the app.
Families with students currently in 3rd, 5th, and/or 7th grade who will be impacted by redistricting in 2019-2020 qualify for grandfathering consideration. Grandfathering will allow current 3rd, 5th, and 7th grade students to remain at the current school for the 2019-2020 school year. Bus transportation will not be provided to students electing the grandfathering option. Siblings in a lower grade level will not be considered for grandfathering. Current 5th grade students at Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate and Junior High electing to be grandfathered are only doing so for their 6th grade year. For their 7th grade year they will attend their correct junior high.
Once the 02/01/19, 11:45 PM deadline passes, grandfathering is not guaranteed and a transfer appeal form must be submitted for review. (link to transfer appeal page on website: https://www.hseschools.org/about/enrollment)
The following form must be completed by 02/01/19 for a current 3rd, 5th, or 7th grade student to be included in grandfathering for the 2019-2020 school year.

When sending lunch money in with your student, please remember to include the Student ID number and name.
We do have a NEW PROCEDURE for parents to sign up to have lunch with their child using SignUp Genius. There is no need to call into the office to reserve your spot
- You MUST have a current background check on file in order to eat lunch with your child.
- Parents may NOT use their student's account when purchasing a parent lunch. Parent lunch is $3.36
- Parents may purchase a lunch from school or bring a lunch from home. Please do NOT bring restaurant food in for lunch.

- Select the date and correct grade level
- Click "Submit and Sign up"
- Enter your name and in the comments section please type your lunch choice
- Then click "Sign Up Now"
When sending lunch money in with your student, please remember to include the Student ID number on all checks and envelopes.
Media Center News
The PTO would love your help in the Media Center. A volunteer is needed each morning from 9-10 and another sometime in the afternoon. Volunteers check in books and shelve them.

IMPORTANT DISMISSAL NOTES
Please utilize School Dismissal Manager to manage your child's dismissal transportation arrangements. Changes must be made to your child's School Dismissal Manager (SDM) by 2:00 p.m. each day
Kindergarten parents - please be at your child's bus stop by the assigned drop off time in order to receive your child. Kindergarten students must have an adult to receive them at the bus stop every day.
