West Side Story 2.0
September 20, 2018
Welcome Back Scarlet Families!
It has been an exciting start to the 2018-19 school year! The first week we had our Welcome Assembly and introduced our new teachers and welcomed the Class of 2022. Link Crew had a follow up meeting with the freshmen where student leaders reviewed National Anthem etiquette, the singing of the school song, and practiced a variety of different cheers. We had a beautiful picnic day for Subs on the Sidewalk and many students signed up for sports, activities, and clubs. A lot of Scarlet Spirit in that first week!
Other celebrations of Scarlet Spirit included the Jug Game, where West won the jug for the 13th year in a row. Scarlets have also been out supporting each other in soccer, swimming, tennis, cross country and volleyball. Due to the success of our athletic programs, the large number of students involved in activities, and our academic achievement, Niche has ranked Mankato West as the #2 sports high school in Minnesota. Go Scarlets!
