ROYAL REVIEW (4/30/21)

To be Christ-centered in our words, thoughts and actions.

VIRTUE = STRENGTH

The virtue theme for this week is LEGACY - The strength to hand down a virtuous tradition and memory of your actions. Yes, leaving a LEGACY is not just for old people. We can leave a LEGACY too. Let’s talk about some ways we can leave a LEGACY.

PRAYER

Lord, instill in us an undying faith and devotion to You our God. Let the Cross be a reminder of Your sacrifice, Your grace, Your love, Your LEGACY of absolute dedication to us. May we find our encouragement, our peace and our inspiration in You.

OTHER HAPPENINGS

ILEARN TESTING

There is one more week of iLEARN testing. Parents please continue to make sure your child(ren) is getting plenty of rest and eating well as we continue to test for the next week. Please send a water bottle every day with your child. Also, we are still accepting donations to defray the cost of the snacks we have purchased for the students to eat on test days.

HASA SPONSORED: PASTRIES WITH PARENTS on THURSDAY MAY 6, 2021, 7:15 - 8:00AM

Thank you to those families who have already turned in their RSVP's. Thank you also to those who have volunteered to help set up and take down, and bring food. We are still in need of take-down help and food donations. Please turn in the bottom portion of the flyer that went home with your child, so we know how many will be eating and how much food we have.

MOTHERS DAY BREAKFAST

May 9th is Mother's Day and the church is going to hold a Brunch for the mothers and women of the parish, school, and community. As such, we will need a lot of help and assistance. This year, we will be having the fathers and men put together a potluck - and are requesting help from the men to provide food, decorations, and anything else needed. The brunch will start at 11:30. Fathers and children are being asked to help with set-up, serving, tear-down, and cleaning. Please invite your wives, your spouses, and your mothers to come to this event - let us honor the women in our lives. Please contact Paul Reitman (pzreitman@outlook.com) for all questions and coordination.

KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE WAS SO MUCH FUN!

This last Wednesday night, we welcomed our 2021-2022 Kindergarteners and their families to an evening with their new teacher to learn all about Kindergarten next year. Parents received packets of health information, students listened to a story and played in Mrs. Simpson's room and all enjoyed lemonade and cookies before they left. If you know of a child who is ready for kindergarten, please tell them it's not too late to register!
