Scottsboro vs To Kill a Mockingbird

These cases are both similar and different but, how similar actually are they? In TKAM, Tom Robinson is a black man who is accused of raping a white women just like how the 9 boys were accused of the same thing in Scottsboro. They both got a very good lawyer to help defend them. Also the court was very racist in both cases, not liking them because they are black. Finally, they all got the death penalty but, had different outcomes.

They were not very different but, there were a couple differences in the cases. One way they were different was they were 9 boys raping 2 women when Tom was 1 man raping 1 women. Also Tom Robinson was killed when the Scottsboro boys were not. That is how they were similar and different.

Atticus said to Jem one day," I'd rather you shoot at tin cans in the back yard, but I know you'll go after birds. Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you hit'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird"

That was the only time I ever heard Atticus say it was a sin to do something, and I asked Miss Maudie about it. "Your father's right," she said, "Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing bu sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."
