Homecoming Alive With Excitement and Joy!

A fabulous Homecoming weekend at Petaluma High! From the rally earlier in the week to the floats and parade around town in the afternoon to #trucksonthetrack at halftime of the football game and the Homecoming ceremony to an amazing sold out dance: all in all, a fine time. Wonderful to see so many alumni at the game cheering on the Trojans. (And the varsity team responded with a thorough thumping of Healdsburg to go to 5-2 (3-0).

Thank you to all the students who helped make the weekend happen. Thanks also to our Activities Director duo, AjaJack, for their organization and energy. And of course to all the staff who spent their Saturday evening chaperoning the students. Team Trojan did a fine job! Take a look at the pictures below and pics/video at the bottom.

Tesla Tour for Engineering and Design

Thanks to Jennifer Eaton, our terrific Principles of Engineering instructor, a group of PHS engineering students was able to tour the Tesla Motors plant in Fremont last Monday. First, Josh Ensign, VP of Production, took us through the recent Model X release and plans for an enormous battery production facility in Sparks, Nevada. Then, we took a fascinating tour of the facility and the production cycle at Tesla. Amazing to see their design and production process and get a glimpse of the pace of change in the industrial/engineering sector. Many student minds were whirring away!

Exchange Bank Charity Golf Supports PHS Athletics

Thank you to Exchange Bank and all those who participated in the Charity Golf Tourney on Monday, October 5th. The Petaluma High Athletic Department was one of the beneficiaries this year and we really can't thank Exchange Bank enough. They are terrific partners in the Doyle Scholarship, providing funds for students to continue their education at SRJC. And this additional support to athletics is much appreciated.

I had a chance to speak with Rick Gorman, our Petaluma branch manager, and Rick Mossi, Exchange Bank VP and Regional Sales Manager, and thanked them both on behalf of the PHS community. Petaluma High is a stronger school with partners like Exchange Bank.
