Woods 2 class helps needy students
BVSW Family,
All the desks found good homes and the kids at the Salvation Army were super pumped to get their very own desk. Brad Stephens a BVSW parent and anchor at KCTV 5 put together a great story about the boys. I uploaded to youtube to share with my class. Take care and hang in there!

a message from the student support services team
The last two weeks the Student Support Services Team (Counselors, School Psychologist, Social Worker and Social Work Intern) met with our SW students during ELA classes to share a lesson about suicide prevention. This lesson has been posted on the Counseling Canvas page. This year’s lesson was a modified version of a suicide prevention presentation created under the leadership of Tara Walrod, BV District Coordinator of Student Support Services. Feel free to watch this lesson and discuss it with your family. As always, your SW Student Services Team is here if you have any questions or concerns. We love our Wolf Pack!

Blue Valley Career-Ready Programs
Career-Ready Automotive Technology Program
Did you know that Blue Valley offers a variety of career-ready programs for high school students in partnership with Johnson County Community College (JCCC), including an Automotive Technology Program? Students in the Automotive Technology program spend half of the day at their high school and half of their day on campus at JCCC working toward an associate degree or certificate options in the field of Automotive Repair. Students may receive dual credit at no cost to the student for successful completion of JCCC coursework. Listen to what students in the automotive program have to say about their experience!
If you are interested in Automotive Technology or other Career-Ready opportunities, let your counselor know. If you have questions, please contact Sarah Beren at sberen@bluevalleyk12.org or 239-4141 or visit the district website.

Critical College Board Account Info
Review the demographic information on your College Board ASAP! College Board will use this information for the exam labels.
If the demographic information is incorrect, it can result in the exam not being scored/valid. Students must use their legal names on their account.
Frequent errors:
Registering as Tony, if your legal name is Anthony
Parents accidentally listing their name as the student taking the exam
JohnJacobJingleheimerSchmidt (gotta use that space bar)
1234 Main Street (you know you live on Main Terr, friend)
Students must call College Board ASAP to correct demographic information. This is the only way.
The Standard, issue 2 is now available!
