Welcome to Mrs. Hutson’s Kindergarten Class
Dear Families,
My name is Katie Hutson and I am so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year! This is my 11th year to teach kindergarten and I couldn’t be happier teaching at the school I grew up attending! I have lived in Grove most of my life and I think it is a wonderful community with an amazing school program! Go Ridgerunners!! I attended OSU for one year then I transferred to NSU in Tahlequah and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I moved back to Grand Lake with my family. My husband is Dylan Hutson and we have 3 children. Wyatt will be in 4th grade this year, my step son, Tatum, will be in 2nd grade and we have a little baby girl, Lakelynn Kate, who just turned 3 in July!
I look forward to teaching, learning and exploring new and exciting things this year with your child. Our classroom will be surrounded with fun colors, pictures that I will take of the children throughout the year, classroom artwork/projects, writings and a lot of Ridgerunner pride!
I usually have an open door policy and love for families to be involved. I know this school year will be different, but I promise to still involve families as much as possible! It might not take place in person as much, but it will be online! I believe parent, teacher, student involvement makes a huge difference when we all work together as a team!!
I look forward to working with each and every one of you! This is going to be the BEST year!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hutson
