Our theme for this year is "The Adventure Begins"...What a unique adventure we are currently taking as an AEEC family! We understand and acknowledge how very difficult this current phase of life is for many families. The wonderful leadership team and fabulous faculty have been and will continue working extra diligently to provide meaningful resources to you and your child(ren) while you are all home during this extended period of time.

The current goal in this site is to provide you with activities that align with what your child typically does during the school day. We do recognize it will not be the same as being in the classroom, but everything should be mostly familiar. Grade levels and leadership team have worked to provide enough resources for each child to be engaged in academic learning (and more!) for approximately two hours each day.

This newsletter page will serve as our "One Stop and Shop Site." This page will be used as a place where you can access all the resources needed to keep your child engaged in various areas of learning. We will be updating the links on this site weekly as needed. Your child's classroom teacher will be sending out a weekly reminder about the "One Stop and Shop Site" and will also be checking in on your child.

For the site, you will find "Buttons" to your child's grade level and then to links with daily resources to engage your child. You will also find buttons to counseling, fine arts, and physical education resources.

We certainly understand there is more than just schools closing going on for families right now and we completely realize that you may not be able to use these resources every day. That is completely fine! Our intention is just to provide you with resources to keep your child actively learning and prevent regression while they are not coming to school. Our number one concern is the safety and well-being of your child and your entire family.

If your child experiences any frustration, please feel free to have them discontinue the resource activity or make adjustments to it. For some of the links, we will provide usernames and passwords so that you may access the entire site(s).

To support your family and especially your child in this time, you will also find links with resources to have a conversation with your child about COVID-19 and to help ease their fears.

Your support is greatly appreciated as AEEC navigates this adventure through unknown territory but together we can rise up and power through this unknown phase of life. Also, please also visit individual classroom teachers' webpages for updated information as well but remember that you can alway come to the "One Stop and Shop Site" for resources.
