International Week Kudos!
What a fantastic week...this truly represents what AIS is all about as we come together as a community to celebrate other cultures and countries! Thank you to everyone who prepared food for our potluck, who came to today's class presentations, and who supported International Week at home through discussions with your children about their learning. We would like to send special thanks to our volunteers who helped with today's setup and preparation, meal service, and cleanup. Your time and assistance in helping the potluck run smoothly is greatly appreciated. And thank you to the AIS PTO for your continued support.
This week would not be possible without our amazing teachers! Thank you for all your work in the classrooms on this project over the past month and for guiding our students in becoming continuously more globally minded and culturally aware.
Last, but not least, a big "thank you" is due to our fantastic International Week Committee. Making International Week happen takes very careful planning, a lot of communication, and hours of behind the scenes work. Thank you to Marion Bigache, the committee chair, for taking the lead, and to the committee members: Gina Pieriboni, Noémie Guivarch, Pedro Caamaño, and Sarah Olano for your work and dedication to this project.
Screening Results
We included the results of the vision, hearing, motor, and speech screenings in student backpacks today. For any questions about the results, please contact the Capital Area Speech.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Good job to our Student Council who launched our Thanksgiving Food Drive in partnership with the Austin Food Bank and thanks to our families who contributed funds or food to help those in need in our community.
