Saint Mark's raises $5,135 in 6 weeks!
2018 brought another successful Catholic Schools Raffle at Saint Mark’s! Teachers, staff and the surrounding community of St. Paul united with students and families to raise an outstanding total of $5,135 for our school.
Since January 12, students of Saint Mark's have been selling $5 raffle tickets as part of the Catholic Schools Raffle, a fundraising program provided free of charge by sponsor Catholic United Financial since 2009.
“Catholic United Financial has had a strong commitment to education ever since our founding 140 years ago. This year, our Catholic Schools Raffle again is one of the largest fundraisers for Catholic education in the Upper Midwest,” said Harald Borrmann, president of Catholic United Financial. “Since we started this Raffle in 2009, well over $7 million has been raised for participating schools. We are incredibly proud that 100 percent of the total has gone directly to the students, parents, faculty and administrators who have helped make this program such an unqualified success.”
Funds raised by participating schools, like Saint Mark's, are used to enhance school programs and facilities. This includes funding field trips, building playgrounds, supplementing tuition costs, and providing new education technology.
Video, photos and a list of prizewinners and results are available at www.catholicunitedfinancial.org/raffle.
Way to go Markers! And a special thank you to Mary Voigt and Sabrina Dore for their excellent servant leadership on this project!
Spring Sports- Interest Form due date extended
Spring sports are just around the corner! If your son or daughter is interested in participating in a spring sport (baseball, softball, or track and field) at Saint Mark’s, please fill out the Google form below. For small Catholic schools, there can be a challenge in forming a baseball/softball team, so please do complete this very short form!
All spring sport opportunities are for students in grades 4-8, with the exclusion of Track which accepts students in grades 1-8. Please note that this is not an official registration. Official registration forms will be sent out in the next couple weeks. Your response to this will help us evaluate the number of teams Saint Mark’s will field this spring. Please fill out the form as soon as possible. The deadline is Today, March 9th. Please contact Patrick Bowlin with any questions.
