Fabulous Week 5

Honestly where does the time go? here we are mid term already. We are immensely proud of the majority of students who are stepping up to ensure a successful end of term is had by all - thank you all.

We are working through our staffing and structure for 2021 presently and if you have a nearly five year old or know of a young human who may be coming into Inglewood Primary, we would appreciate you emailing the office with this information, so we can plan classes accordingly - thank you.

Puke Haupapa Mind Your Own Business Market evening.

This event was a huge hit and we extend a HUGE congratulations to all the students and teachers who worked so hard to make the evening a success. Another thank you goes to all the parents, whanau and wider community who came in droves to support this initiative. The atmosphere was amazing and the crowds moved through Puke Haupapa visiting all the stalls.

PCT Event 2020

An absolutely outstanding day from our 4 teams with an overall second from Rowan, Kade, Monique and Anahera.

Kahui Athletics Day - Tuesday 17 November - TET Stadium, Inglewood

The whole school will be leaving school at 9am approx.

After the opening at 9.45 am students will be divided into their groups and will then move to their activities to begin at 10.10 am. Each activity is 40 minutes.

Years 0-3 students will be escorted by adults over to Jubilee Park to begin their programme led by Waitoriki with the assistance of students from Inglewood High School. They will leave their bags under the trees in Jubilee Park.

Years 4 - 8 students form into Year level groups. They will then begin their programme on the main park with the following activities:

Long Jump, High Jump, Track 100m sprints, Discus, and Shot Put.

These activities will be organised by individual schools using Inglewood Athletics Club equipment. The day will conclude with relays.

Can you please ensure your child has: plenty of lunch, water, sunscreen, hat, change of clothes (in case of weather)

Congratulations

We wish to extend congratulations to all Senior Students at Inglewood High School who received awards at this week's Senior Prize Giving. It was fabulous to not only see a large representation of students from across our Kahui Ako o Kohanga Moa Schools, but Inglewood Primary School also - well done all.

Literacy Quiz

On Monday 9th November William Young, Nyrelle Ritchie, Ayla Gyde and Hannah Cairns competed in the 2020 Literacy Quiz. They competed against 25 other teams from Taranaki and Whanganui regions answering questions relating to literacy. The competition was hard and the team ended up getting 20th out of 27 teams.

Reminder - School Road Safety

  • Please do not drive up the driveway to collect or drop off children unless you have a car pass from the office.
  • Children MUST exit from vehicles on the footpath side of the vehicle
  • Please watch out for children if you are driving up the school driveway.
  • Reminder the speed limit is 5 km if you are driving up the school driveway.
  • Please keep the SCHOOL GATE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.
  • Reminder the speed limit is 40km passed a school gate. Please watch for children.

Inglewood Lions Maize Maze Fundraising Opportunity

Inglewood Lions have invited our school to participate in a fundraiser for primary schools, selling Inglewood lions Maize Maze family passes. For every $25 family pass sold, $5 will be donated back to Inglewood Primary.

Family Pass $25 (valued at $35) - 2 adults + 3 children (under 15) or 3 adults + 1 child (under 15)

Looking for something to do with your child from 4.30pm-6.30pm for the next 8 weeks. Bring a picnic mat, have a natter with other adults, while your child comes and plays! If you have a 5 - 12 year old - let them come and have a play in the park! We will have all sorts of equipment out that they can come and have a go with.

You just need to sign your child in, sit back and watch from your picnic mat while our Kelly Sports Taranaki coaches have gear available to play with. We really look forward to seeing you there!

Congratulations

Congratulations to Darien Lowcay, Kaitlyn Antill, Lara Antill and Nyrelle Ritchie who made the Taranaki Rep teams. You all played your very best and showed awesome IPS reach values in your sportmanship throughout all games last weekend. The team played 6 games, drawing 1 and winning 5 games including the grand final.
