EXAM SCHEDULE
Only students testing will attend school on Tuesday the 19th to test.
Tuesday April 19th ACT Aspire 9th Grade (Cohort 2025)
Buses will run as normal to and from school.
Grab and Go lunches will also be available after school
Attendance is required for these state mandated exams; we are asking all students to attend on their scheduled test dates. Make-ups exams will be taken on a normal school day in the eligible testing windows.
COMBS HIGH SCHOOL FREE IN-PERSON SUMMER SCHOOL
This summer Combs High School will be offering FREE in-person summer school classes. We understand this past 2 years have been a challenging time for our students. The Combs High School staff is committed to our students success and graduation. To this end, CHS will be offering FREE summer classes for students to make-up lost credits.
We will have 2 learning options this summer, In-Person instruction for students making up academic credit in the core academic areas and on our traditional online platform Edgenuity. Both opportunities will be outlined below with registration information. Students who are looking to get ahead academically are not eligible for in person instruction, but may take these courses in the Edgenuity platform.

Did you know??? Two of our state mandated tests are finally complete (ACT and AzSci)...just one more to go! Freshmen students will take the ACT Aspire on Tuesday, April 19. Please make sure 9th grade students are on time, well rested, and fed so that they have the best chance possible to succeed.
Did you know??? 35 days until May 20 when all online and in person work is due for Seniors trying to graduate! That time will fly by so be sure to encourage your Senior to get everything together so that they can walk.

COMBS EDUCATION FOUNDATION SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
As you know, each year the Combs Education Foundation offers scholarships to our Seniors at Combs High School. This year we are proud to offer over 12 scholarships to our Seniors.
These scholarships are Company/Organizational Scholarships, Leadership Scholarships, and Memorial Scholarships. Attached is a flyer to help promote their applications, which will remain open until Tuesday, April 5th, 4pm. Please share this flyer to students, families and the community. A Social Media presence will also start in the next day or two.

ICYMI: Applications open for 2022-2023 Governor's Youth Commission
APPLY NOW FOR THE 2022-2023 GOVERNOR'S YOUTH COMMISSION
PHOENIX - The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) is seeking inspiring youth leaders from Arizona high schools to serve on the 2022-2023 Governor's Youth Commission (GYC). The GYC brings together a diverse group of high school students from all fifteen Arizona counties to identify and address the greatest challenges facing Arizona’s youth by developing innovative community impact projects, establishing partnerships with young leaders across the state, and advising the Governor.
Commissioners are selected through a competitive application process. If you know a high school student with a passion for service and leadership, please share this unique opportunity to serve as an ambassador in a nationally recognized leadership program! Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student during the 2022-2023 school year.
Applications are currently being accepted until June 3, 2022 at 5:00 PM from Arizona youth in all fifteen counties.

Supply Chain Challenges: The Covid-19 pandemic has led to unforeseen issues with our supply chain, resulting in food shortages and last-minute menu substitutions. Our goal is to serve the posted/planned menu each day, but current circumstances are making this a challenge. We are working closely with our food distributors and vendors during this unprecedented time. We will do our best to communicate and update our online menu as soon as any substitutions are made. Please remember the menu is subject to change. Thank you for your understanding.
NEW FOOD SERVICE SOFTWARE
I hope you are having a great beginning of the new school year.
I wanted to share with you that we have a new software that is used for everything related to the Food Service Department.
The Titan Family Portal is a our new secure online system for convenient access and a user-friendly experience in managing meals at school.
The Titan Family Portal allows families/staff to:
- Submit an online application for free and reduced meals
- See menus, allergens and nutritional information
- Remotely monitor children's cafeteria meal accounts
- Make online payments to children's cafeteria accounts
- Set up automatic, recurring payments
- Set up low account balance email or text alerts
The Titan Family Portal may be accessed via:

SEALED Water Bottles will be the ONLY food or drink permitted into games.
