Science Fair 1/21/15
Students are hard at work preparing for the Locust Trace Science Fair. The Science Fair will be held on January 21st, and we are grateful to have volunteer judges from Alltech, Kentucky Farm Bureau, and UK. It’s going to be an exciting event for our students and there are many interesting projects in development. Following are some examples of what our students are researching here at Locust Trace:
- · The effects of various odors on concentration
- · Methods to reduce bacterial growth in animal food bowls
- · Comparing the concentration of vitamin C in various brands of orange juice
- · The most effective way to attract deer through feed presentation
- · How to develop more fire retardant wood structures such a barns
