Drop off - Return Material Procedure
Returning items to school: There are many items that need to be returned to school including computers borrowed, text books, library books, etc. We will collect school items starting on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 and running through June 5, 2020 from 10-4 each day. These items will be returned to the outside door of the library.
Music Instruments will be collected in the courtyard by the music building on May 28-31 - 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00 each day.
The following procedures will be in place: social distancing and wearing a mask for anyone on campus. Thank you in advance for your adherence to these procedures.
Online Learning Update - Grades Count
We understand that this is a stressful and overwhelming situation for a lot of people, and that everyone is doing their best to keep up. We just want to remind you about the importance of staying up to date on classwork and encourage you to reach out for help if you are falling behind or having trouble getting started.
We wanted to remind all parents and students that your online learning for quarter 4 counts!! Students must complete their Fourth Quarter classes to get credit for the class. Not completing this work can potentially result in having to repeat the class next year, being held back in a grade level, not being promoted to High School, or not graduating.
If anyone needs support during this difficult time, we encourage you to reach out to your advocate, your teacher, your counselor, or the Administration Team. We are here to help you succeed, and want to ensure that you have the resources needed to do your part in the process!
Thank you for your continued support!!

Robotics Team Update - Ironic - Fe3 FIRST Tech Challenge #14226
The FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team Ironic Fe3 #14226 has continued to work hard during the competition off season to prepare for our next season! The team meets weekly and has been able to do the following.
Create a video to present to one of our sponsors, Tampa Bay Technology Alliance, an organization that made it possible through a grant for the team to attend all the competitions for the 19-20 season!
Develop a draft brochure to be used to promote the team to potential sponsors to help fund the next season’s needs of everything from parts for the robot, to 20-21 season t-shirts, to travel costs and attendance to such events as the Roboticon.
Put together a list of potential sponsors for the next season and determine the contact for each so the team members will be ready to do either remote or in-person connections! Way to be a flexible team!
Each member of the team received a momento created by our team mentor, Mr. Foster using his 3-D printer. A replica of the Skystone:)
One of the main philosophies of FIRST is that of Gracious Professionalism. This means that there is always a direct connection between fierce competition and mutual gain. With that in mind, the team determined that the best strategy to develop that as a team was to support each other throughout the rookie season. Using a gamification, the team began giving points to each other for noticing the role each team member exhibited. In the end, the most Gracious Professionalism award went to Mamadou Thiam. Congratulations to Mamadou and to all the team members for their role in developing each other and for recognizing the capacity of all the team members in their rookie year.
Finally, a big congratulations go out to both Daisy Trejo and Mary Foster and their coach Ms. L. These students used the coding skills gained during the FIRST season to compete during the MSA school closing in the Girls Go CyberStart Challenge. And they gained enough points to be invited to compete in the nationals! Thank you Ms. L from FUNducation for being so encouraging. Great work to both of these young women!
Attention 6th Grade Parents - Required Shots BEFORE Entering 7th Grade
The State of Florida requires proof of immunization for all students entering 7th grade each year. This proof must be on the official State of Florida Immunization Form (DH680... the Blue Card) which is obtained from your doctor's office or the Health Department. The following immunizations must be documented on this form:
* Tetanus, Diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) - This is the update shot that you need for 7th Grade.
* Hepatitis B vaccine series
* Varicella vaccine or the year of disease
* Two doses of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella)
Please see your doctor or the Health Department for more information and to assure that your child has met these requirements. This documentation must be submitted to the school before the first day of school next year (August 10). Students will not be allowed to come to school until these shot requirements are met. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
