Dear Rocket Families,
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend! It is hard to believe that the last week of the 2021-2022 school year has arrived! We have had an incredible year at RES and we are looking forward to a VERY busy and FUN week ahead!
I have several retirements to announce. Please join me in both THANKING these ladies and wishing them the very best as they begin retirement life!

A HUGE SHOUT-OUT to our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. They did an awesome job with End-of-Grade testing last week and we have NO make-ups this week due to excellent attendance! Several students received invitations for EOG remediation last Friday. Remediation will coincide with our Summer School Summer Learning Program and Reading Camp. Please return responses tomorrow. If you have ANY questions about remediation, please reach out to me or your child's teacher.
We do have a LIMITED number of yearbooks available for $25 each. They will be on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Please send in correct change or make checks payable to Rutherfordton Elementary. Thank you for supporting our school!

- Students should wear clothes and shoes that you do not mind possibly getting dirty!
- Students may wear hats and sunglasses while outside
- Please apply any sunscreen before students come to school. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to apply sunscreen.
5th Grade Promotion Ceremony and Celebration
- Thursday, June 2
- 8:30 AM; Gymnasium
Water Fun Day
- Thursday, June 2
- Students should wear clothes/shoes that you don't mind getting wet.
- Students should bring a towel and an extra set of clothing and shoes in which to change (also bring a plastic bag for wet clothes).
- Students may wear hats and sunglasses while outside.
- Please apply any sunscreen before students come to school. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to apply sunscreen.
- Absolutely NO swim suits!

- Dismissal at 11:00 AM; breakfast and lunch will be served.
